Mixed state entanglement and thermal phase transitions

چکیده
We study the relationship between mixed state entanglement and thermal phase transitions. As a typical example, we compute holographic entropy (HEE), mutual information (MI) of purification (EoP) over superconductivity transition. find that HEE, MI EoP can all diagnose superconducting They are continuous at critical point, but their first derivative with respect to temperature is discontinuous. decreases increasing exhibits convex behavior, while HEE increases concave behavior. However, exhibit either same or opposite behavior as MI, depending on size specific configuration. These results show captures more abundant than MI. also provide new algorithm for general configurations.

Phase transitions of bipartite entanglement.
We analyze the statistical properties of the entanglement of a large bipartite quantum system. By framing the problem in terms of random matrices and a fictitious temperature, we unveil the existence of two phase transitions, characterized by different spectra of the reduced density matrices.

In this Letter we discuss the entanglement near a quantum phase transition by analyzing the properties of the concurrence for a class of exactly solvable models in one dimension. Entanglement can be classified in the framework of the scaling theory of phase transitions. There is a profound differences between the classical correlations, whose correlation lenght diverges at the phase transition,...

We develop a general theory of the relation between quantum phase transitions (QPTs) characterized by nonanalyticities in the energy and bipartite entanglement. We derive a functional relation between the matrix elements of two-particle reduced density matrices and the eigenvalues of general two-body Hamiltonians of d-level systems. The ground state energy eigenvalue and its derivatives, whose ...

Entanglement purification protocols (EPP) and quantum errorcorrecting codes (QECC) provide two ways of protecting quantum states from interaction with the environment. In an EPP, perfectly entangled pure states are extracted, with some yield D, from a bipartite mixed state M ; with a QECC, an arbitrary quantum state |ξ〉 can be transmitted at some rate Q through a noisy channel χ without degrada...

We derive a general relation between the nonanalyticities of the ground state energy and those of a subclass of the multipartite generalized global entanglement (GGE) measure defined by de Oliveira et al. [Phys. Rev. A 73, 010305(R) (2006)] for many-particle systems. We show that GGE signals both a critical point location and the order of a quantum phase transition (QPT). We also show that GGE ...
